Interesting. I am now shopping for reloading equipment, For price but more for the consistency in performance. What ends up on porch when I order bulk? is questionable

The mother in law gave me a box of old tools and stuff and this was in it. 1922 vintage.22/.32 heavy frame Smith & Wesson. The only problem is the firing pin isn’t striking

I like it. I wonder if it would be worth it restored and in shooting shape? I think I have seen similar with a 9 round Wheel

Is the pin part of the hammer? It should be.

You may need a new hammer.

Very nice piece. I can recommend a guy in Missouri that does a great job smithing. He is building my .308.

Then my guess is you need a new firing pin. A trained gunsmith would know.

Seriously though, I'd absolutely have that 22 repaired by someone who knows their shit... simply because it's a family heirloom.

Fortunately I’ve learned small arms repair during my time in the USMC and still use those skills its a matter of taking the time to hunt the part down. I just want to make it go pew, pew, pew.....

Well you may be able to fix it your self. The other thing that could be causing the miss fires is wheel guns need to have the timing correct. If it is out of time the cylinder will not line up properly.

Everything appears to be functioning properly just no marks on the shell casings where the pin should be striking

I figured out how to buy the cheap ammo at Walmart. --Open Carry--

In a hurry want to grab a couple boxes of ammo from behind the glass? Good luck. might be 30 min before someone with the key shows up.

Walk in with your side arm on your hlp. -- Greased lighting getting you wrung up and outta there. -- I will update results. My guess I will never be held up again like I was today.

Go locked and loaded when shopping at Walmart.

I find ammo way cheaper online and they drop it on the porch so I don't have to slum a wally world.
