    Side folding stocks are garbage.

The CX4 with it's bullpup style feels very compact and with a red dot, shoots very naturally with a heads up stance while still giving a good cheek weld. I like it for chicken coop defense, shooting cottontails and gophers.

Thanks, I'm up SV so we have matches at Ohio Gulch very frequently. I think there is IDPA matches there which seems like fun, but I'd be more into the practice that the actual competitions. I typically would rather shoot my bows, easier on the wallet and ears than shoot firearms of any type.

For most of us. Your only competing with yourself. Kinda like golf. Once you go to uspsa match you figure out right away. You will never win. But it’s very intense fun. Had to explain how hard it is to keep it together when that beep goes off. Your brain is trying to process many thing while your guns keeps going boom boom. And then it’s over

Now have light spots of rust on receiver - see pics - tried wiping/rubbing with hoppes 9 on a cloth - no luck. Hesitant to try anything harsher (yet). Hoppes with a nylon (tooth) brush would probably be next move...

    Thoughts? Thx in advance.

As to the nice shotgun. I would spend the < 100$. And let your local gunsmith do it
There are probably similar issues internally that you don’t see

look up Aaron Hughston(Hughston Shooting School) in Hailey. He would be a great source for information and improvement. Great folks at the Jerome range as well.

I’ve shot IDPA at Ohio Gulch. I thought they had stopped holding matches.

Needless to say all the major retail outlets have none. They don’t even have empty shelves. Space has been repurposed. It’s almost like someone wants to keep track of who is buying ammo
I've seen lots of wal marts and other places with full shelves recently. Also seen some cabellas with empty shelves.

Could be, I haven't been there since last fall to work on shotgun skills. I should get a few lessons, it couldn't hurt.

    Side folders are all crap I say! Except for FNC's, Fal's, HK's, Krink's, LWRC Smg's, SCAR's, Galil's and ZM's.

    That SEF lower...

LWRC SMG is on the short list.

EDIT: Turns out they are extremely inaccurate. Guess that's out.

The LWRC's smg isn't that inaccurate. I like that its very low recoil but its overpriced and loud with a good can on it. It does look a lot better than the B&T APC45.

I had a hems can and it was an impulse buy. A glock 21 seems much quieter.

I liked it better than my MPX, which never ran well. My friends post did great but mine wouldn't run without FTF issues.

The SEF pack only runs on F for fahrvergnügen, its just a vector sbr. I should put a front grip on it now that I think of it.

Y'all wanna beat a dead horse again? I'm actually going to buy a new rifle with my tax return, beginning the planning/ordering process now.
    7mm rem or 300 win?
Mule Deer and Elk, Utah based.
Shooting a .308 now. Love the idea of .280 ackley or something but I'm looking for availability of ammo and reasonable (haha) prices.
