Donate to save the NRA, and keep those executive members in the lifestyle they have become accustom to.

There's gonna be a lot of butthurt.
If they went back to the organization they were before 1977...that would be awesome.
Perfect group to give everyone that owns a gun a license, mental exam, training and registration (for every firearm they own)

Try doing that with the criminals first.

Agreed. I despise the NRA...not for what they fundamentally stand for but how they operate and obviously for the level if corruption. They give us responsible 2A supporters a bad name.

Most folks don't even know what they used to be and hiw they operated. It's a shame.

Yes, some people responsibly support constitutional amendments and the rights they provide. Too bad the NRA got away from that.

If you mess with the 2a then that opens the door to mess with all the other amendments, which is a terrible idea.

Do something on a state level if you want to but remember once you move the line it usually only goes one way.

Understand that guns are like cigs. Those guys got pushed around until there aren't any left.

    Move it to polyass.

It has been, things have been added and repealed but the more you mess with it, the weaker it gets.

Good luck. Anyone that is thinking about volunteering should get their app in pronto before the quota is met. I was lucky enough to get selected to do this in Olympic NP and they had 1200+ apps!

    That's awesome! How was it?

App was in hours ago with 4 people who live in the zip code that spans the edge of the park.

Serious question: do you think proximity to the park matters? Having climbed most of the peaks in the central range, I can’t imagine going from valley floor to goat territory every day for 6 days.

Or is it all just random draw? I peaked at the application and the shooting requirements are a pretty low bar.

Your Sacred Texts theory of American law sounds a lot like Protestant Fundamentalism...

So why do you need to spend your money on the NRA and Maria Butina and all the lawyers defending the rich lawyer couple in St Louis against misdemeanor brandishing if The Word is already etched in stone/enshrined in the Bill of Rights? Are you Hedging, shipmate?

Not sure how random it is, and I bet they will pick people who they think have an idea of what they’re getting into. They do ask for your zip code. Shooting requirements are trivial. I love how they encourage suppressors.

Keep in mind, valley floor is 6500 or so up there, and goats are at treeline, which can be 9500. I’m not too worried about it.

Wayne LaPiere is a crook who fraudulently stole money from the NRA. How is prosecuting him for that a violation of the 2nd Amendment ??

So apparently they wanted to go the skilled volunteer route the first time but didn’t quite think through several things: You had to hunt with a park employee, you were not allowed to keep the goat or pose for photos with it, and the season happened to coincide with winter. This is per my buddy at game and fish who was helping the park out with the whole thing. Hopefully they’ve come to their senses a bit more!
