^^ This. I know about the Accu-Wedge, never used one. Go with first hand experience.

I never had or built an AR that I thought needed one. Even with a bunch of PSA's in the vault.

Just picked up a Browning Citori 28 gauge on the cheap. A ding or two, but nothing terrible. Will make a great dove gun.

I've found it can happen when you mix a forged lower with a billet upper or vice versa, but it often means that the upper is out of spec. Out of spec or worn takedown/pivot pins can cause it too.

The set screw on these lowers is under the grip and puts pressure on the bottom of the rear lug of the upper to make it nice and snug against the takedown pin eliminating play.

Here is a Marlin Rockwell BAR we had a while back. It was my Dad's favorite gun when he was in the army. He fired this one and chipped a bone in his elbow on the shooting bench. I cannot imagine lugging this thing around all day with a bunch of magazines. Nor can I imagine lugging around an M60 or 240B with belts of ammo.
My old man carried one of those in the Korean War, he used to say they usually made the small guys pack that around he never really talked about it much a couple times he did mention the human wave attacks the Chinese threw at them which sounded pretty fucked up

That's a great gun. You're a far better shot than me though. I might could use a 28ga on quail, but I need all 12 gauges of shot and powder to hit those jet-propelled mournings.

Very rough, pronounced reset. I may build a new receiver and trigger. Or maybe I put it together wrong. Ran good though. Really lucky to have a $4 range that they just spent 25mm on.

They tabled the gun ban/grab infringement crap for a year so small victory there. They still have the Red Flag shit to fight in VA as well as socialists pushing this unconstitutional terrorism.

Gun owner here. No idea what's in the VA bill. I am in favor of the concept of Red Flag laws. However, they need to be well written with very clear criteria, including the process for getting ones guns back, at no expense to the gun owner if the owner is found not to be a danger, somebody was falsley accusing, etc. Some drunk POS abusing his wife should definitely have his guns put in lockdown for a spell. Unfortunately it's not a stretch that the laws being enacted are not as fair as I have in mind. And there's a simple reason. The NRA lobby advocating for unrestricted gun ownership has in effect removed themselves from the debate and a chance to craft better laws that actually address the issues they are purporting to address. This all or nothing attitude is going to result in nothing, which sucks for the rest of us.

Legally. That's a moving target, eh? The High Standard HDM has an interesting history. I read one guy said it was as quiet as a knife. It was used generally as an offensive weapon.

    I thought I would share.
If you are withing driving distance of the Reno area and were curious about competitive shooting. This is a pretty good way to stick your toe in the water. Without being humiliated.

    Greetings,

WNPL is adding a new venue to our line-up. While our Action Pistol match has been a good on-ramp to competitive shooting, many shooters have asked if there was a basic class that might teach basic gun-handling techniques, rules of the game, and what to do during a stage.

    wnpl.org

Darren Lore’ has joined our club and will run our new Safety and Match Training sessions. The first class will be held this coming Sunday (March 8th), and will begin at 9:00am sharp.

New Shooters will get a 30 minute training session, and will then shoot our regular Action Pistol match with your trainer. You will also get a special introductory price provided you are a first time shooter to the range.

The March schedule is as follows:

    Sat – Mar 7th – IDPA

Sun – Mar 8th – Action Pistol, Sport Carbine/Pyramid 2-Gun and our new Safety and Match Training

    Sat – Mar 14th – UML (Multi-Gun)

    Sun – Mar 15th – USPSA

    See you soon.

    Dave

I never knew what a boog bois is until a bit of googling about the dude. I like guns but most of the forums about them are filled with fucking anti government idiots.

Question for AR owners. A friend has an AR that’s been mothballed in a case for a decade. What would you do(if anything) to get it in to operating shape?
