PM me if you want the GPS coordinates.
Have you shot the .338 lapua?
    I'm looking at a sako trg42.

What's the deal on the 20mm.....is it necked down to.50?

The Sako's a good gun. Guys I know have 2 of them, suppressed. The Accuracy International .338 is a more accurate gun though.

The 20mm shooters out there use surplus Vulcan cases drilled out to accept .50BMG primers (the original cases were electrically primed) with 1500 grain 20mm machined slugs. Anzio Ironworks makes a good single shot rifle.

    For size comparison:

    5.56, .338, .50, 20mm

Yeah--My orignal thread stated Barret 50 (that's what I thought I was going to be shooting) and I never bothered to correct it.

$20 a shot should moderate your envy a bit.

..and fit it out with remote control so a friend can drive it around while you try to hit it...

How humorously and unwittingly ironic. If you don't understand why, go read more about Solzhenitsyn's life and writings.

Go away and let the adults talk.

Thanks for the info. I had heard about the 20mm but didn't know you could buy it. Looks like a great place for 50bmg and 338 stuff too. Nice.
Every family should have a full complement of weapons and know how to use them.

You need a Destructive Device tax stamp from the BATFE for 20mm rifles. Your dealer will know about it.

Kinda figured .........will their 20-50cal get around that?

Can you imagine that case firing a 50 cal DU bullet....holy crap.....the ballistics would be unbelievable.

Any centerfire weapon with a rifled bore over .50" is a Destructive Device and needs a $200 tax stamp when you buy it.

A DU .50BMG bullet would have good sectional density, for sure, and would likely remain supersonic out to 2000 yards or more. But why not just get a .408 Cheytac that does the same thing for less cost?

Hold on a minute - there's a big difference between someone who has liberal views and a librodouche. Librodouches don't own guns - especially handguns. Librodouches think meat comes from the grocery store and if someone breaks into their house they can just throw their cell phone at them.
