Used to love pounding the bumps. Grew up on the Mary Jane bump runs.

Craziest mogul runs I ever saw in person was 1990, Sugarloaf Maine. Pro Mogul tour event.

Friday AM 24” of powder - skipped school and skied almost empty mountain endless knee deep.

Sunday we rallied back for the Mogul comp and some good skiing with the base. Thing was it had rained Saturday and all that snow had piled up into giant moguls and then frozen hard as a rock Saturday night.

Can’t believe they even still had the event. Giant, Rock hard moguls. And the pros were still going for it, maybe dialed back a bit, but Helis an back scratchers and spread eagles into those moguls. We were right beneath one of the likely jumps and I’ll never forget the sound of Skis whacking ice as guys hucked. Several guys got carted off before we decided it was too much to watch and bailed.

I used to love skiing chief bumps. Sucked me out of chief trails probably way too soon and often. Then on to chief face. Et cetera.

I know I'm not the only one that spent years zipperlining.
I may only be 30, but there's some hard miles on this chassis.
Freaking love these old vids! gg

    >remember ya'll we don't have to zipperline anymore ;with side cuts we can carve moguls at moderate speeds.

I was lucky enough about 15 years ago to ski a bump run with Johnny Mosely somewhere in the mid-atlantic when he was doing a bunch of touring (signing autographs and what not). The bumps were solid ice (if it was a run out west and that icy, they would have closed it) and it was foggy as shit, you could only see a few bumps ahead of you and the dude just ripped it down the run like he had been skiing at that place his hole life. These were not man made zipperlines either. I was in awe.
