British Motor Show Press Preview Day (pics)
Here's a few pics I shot yesterday when having a wander around the British Motor Show in Birmingham...

My ride for the day - the 247bhp Audi A3 3.2 quattro Sport
And of course, it wouldn't be a proper motor show without plenty of ladies wearing clothes several sizes too small for them...

Sweet pics. You need, like, someone to carry your gear for you or something?

roo- correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't "gear" a piece of slang related to the drug culture on the opposite side of the pond?

That's true. Our most popular television show is called 'Top Gear' and there's a story (probably apocryphal) about its presenter, Jeremy Clarkson, meeting Kate Moss at an industry bash. Keen to iintroduce himself he strides up to her, thrusts out a hand and intones "Jeremy Clarkson, Top Gear". At which point the clearly shitfaced Ms Moss attempts to unscramble her eyeballs and replies "Yeah, fucking great innit?"

A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects.

The Gulf scheme is good but I think this is the winner.

I've had a small putter about in a GT but I want to get one on a track. I've been spending today trying to finalise some vehicles for our Performance Car of The Year review in September - so far I've nailed down a Vauxhall VXR220, a Lotus Exige, a BMW 330CD, a Caterham R500 Evo, a Honda NSX-R, a Mitsubishi Evo VIII FQ340 and a Porsche 911 GT3 RS. I'm trying to bag a Lamborghini Gallardo as well but I'm not optimistic that they'll let us take it to Germany for four days...

Arash Farboud, the guy who builds the car said lady is sitting on, confided in me that these ladies were lapdancers from the Spearmint Rhino club in London. I'd have never figured that out.

Expect to see a lot of these in California 2005/2006. Don't know if Volkswagen are going to badge it the Corrado in the UK but they seem likely to. Folding tin top roof and all that nonsense.

I'd take anything made by Noble. But any of those chicks would do if they run out of cars.
If anyone thinks they are scantily clad they should check out some of the bike shows here. H-O-T. I've seen literally painted on clothes, titty dances, that type of shit. Heck, my local bike shop even hires Page 3 girls to stand outside every Saturday to attract more business (sadly slightly clothed)...
