Flexed and fondled the 179's the other day, really like how the ski has changed, i liked my Seths but always thought they'd be better with a stiffer flex and a bit fatter, the progressive tip should make them plane to the surface nicely and be just that much quicker in the trees.

People who buy them this year will be getting a great everyday ripper.

Unfortunately theres just no room in my quiv for them, at least until my current seths die.
    I ski therefore I am.

if you want this ski in a 169, might i suggest you take a good look at the K2 Anti Piste

That camber\rocker profile looks almost identical to the ones the came out with this past year. These come in a 167, 174, 181, and 188.

but really, so long as you're taller than about 5'5 and weigh more than about 140, a 179 Obsethed with rocker would be fine for you. Just mount them a tad forward if youre really worried.

    edit
and for real...i just read elsewhere you said you were 5'8 160
    wtf
my gf who is a good skier, but is no ripper, skis on a pair of regularly cambered 167 K2 Phat luvs.
She is 5'6 120 and handles them just fine and has never once complained they were long for her.
Sack the fuck up and buy the 179s.
its all in your head that you think these will be too much for you

They would probably ski shorter anyway, given the rocker.

They tacked the 69 into the womens line. next year they'll have a women's version of the seth.

they hand flexed quite a bit stiffer that previous years, the 179 felt like the 189 of years gone by.
