Had to bump this up, a friend asked me yesterday if I'd be interested in a trip to the Ruth Gorge. After re-reading this, I think I am. He said that the Don Sheldon mountain house is back in play. Looks like it's the cheaper option down the ridge from the baller chalet?

Scenery is spectacular much better skiing other places. Now you can listen to helicopter noise. The mountain house is not that far away from the chalet. The beauty of Alaska is wilderness this is not it.off your knees Louie
