Gaper Day is a Comin'
Yeah I know I only have 5 posts or something so if you need to jong me, go ahead.
But, as I'm sure we know, Gaper Day is almost upon us. Unfortunatley, April 1st falls on a Tuesday this year, so us working stiffs might miss out on many of the festivities. My question is if anyone will be celebrating "unofficial" Gaper Day on the Sunday beforehand? Or am I going to have to call in with a case of powder flu on Tuesday? Breck last year was hilarious and I don't want to miss out.

Oh yeah! I love gaper day. It's about the only day per year that I ski Breck. Sunday, March 30th - I'll be there if we can get a good crew again this year.

You are gonna have to call in work and come get drunk with all of us.
We were pretty fucking legit last year. Shot-skis you could actually ski, etc.

How did you get your libations on the mountain? Police searched my backpack and smelled my Camelback last year. Also, I have my shot glasses glued to my shot-ski. Are you using a magnet system there?

I have no idea cause I wasn't the one carrying, but I'm pretty sure they brought it in a plastic flask or a bota bag or something.
The shot glasses fit into little rubber mounts so you could pull them off to go skiing and pop em back in to drink. Pretty sure it was thommy21's setup.

The 20th of April falls on a Sunday. Might be a good day for gaper day, so that all can enjoy.

Had a couple flasks stuffed in my gators. The grey ones seen in Phish's first pic. Managed to get additional booze and the shot glasses past them in a fanny pack. Stuffed the pack under my shell so it looked like my beer gut.
Mobile shot ski uses dishwasher grommets you can get at Home Depot. Just epoxy them on the ski. Perfect size to hold shot glasses.
Sun Mar 30th would work for me. Need to get some additions to the outfit going.

Where are you guys finding those sweet fartbags?
-
03-20-2008, 09:50 AM #17You're gonna stand there, owning a fireworks stand, and tell me you don't have no whistling bungholes, no spleen spliters, whisker biscuits, honkey lighters, hoosker doos, hoosker donts, cherry bombs, nipsy daisers, with or without the scooter stick, or one single whistling kitty chaser?

I went a different route last year. Instead of doing the fart bag, I went as a Texan, complete with cowboy hat, earmuffs and jeans tucked into the socks. This year I want to add a "Don't Mess with Texas" shirt and a fanny pack. So far, people have mentioned 3/30 & 4/1 at Breck, 4/12 at A-Basin, and 4/20 anywhere. If we could get a huge crew together for a weekend, that would probably be preferrable.
