Newschoolers, I have a modest proposal for how we should go about identifying each other:

Some of you may be familiar with the TGR custom of a call and response to identify fellow mags upon meeting for the first time. Essentially, one person asks “Have you got change for a nickel?”, to which the other, if they are in the know, responds with something like “Fuck’n A!” (though I understand there is still some debate as to what the proper response is).

To the best of my knowledge (and searchbarring), there is no Newschoolers equivalent of “hitting someone up for change”. This is a grave oversight of culture and should be remedied immediately. I propose the following – We should “ask for directions”.

By this, I mean the first person would ask some variation of – “Do you know how to get to Chad’s Gap from the Alta parking lot?”, to which the proper response would obviously be “Ski patrol blew it up.”

Hmm…this might not be so modest after all. In fact, I think this is a damn good idea and well overdue.

Basically, if I remember correctly (thread is 4 years old...so maybe a bit off, if so someone who knows can correct me), kids ask for directions to chad's gap. People talk lots of shit and tell them they are stupid little faggots, etc, etc. Normal NS shit talking. Goes on for awhile.

Anyway, the kids end up going, finding Chad's gap, and just start hucking 360's and backflips and shit off of it. There were videos, but not sure if the links still work.

Everyone on NS shuts the fuck up. Props are given. And the threads get bumped periodically every few months it seems for the past 4 years turning it into a legendary thread of sorts on NS.

O...and then Chad's gap got blown up.

I used to lurk on NS for a while. I'm to lazy to dig up the thread so here is the short version.

someone on NS asks "where is Chad's gap?"

thread goes multi-pages and everyone tells them "you don't just go hit Chad's gap"

OP then posts video footage of him and crew doing front flips over Chad's.

All the same people who tell them you just don't hit chad's gap tell each other for multi-pages how they got owned.
