I assume that the coaches have to cater to the lowest level group member so i have reservations about spending money on a clinic.

I am a very strong skier, but have never taken any kind of formal classes or lessons and im sure i could benefit tremendously from feedback/criticism/coaching. But i want to be pushed a little and dont want to be the best skier in the class, ya know? Looking for something in the greater PNW if possible, and now that the Gordy Camps are done im not sure what i should look into?

The ex can/steeps coaches are excellent (a lot of FWT experience). Yes there will be weaker groups but they sort out splits and offer privates. A private or strong group would be incredible.

I heard this thread got bumped. That weekend was SO much fun. Brings back awesome memories. It could not have gone better and having the locals for coaches made it singularly cool. The Pimp Palace didn't hurt either. Cheers guys!

    re: extremely canadian
i did their 2 day steep clinic
they subdivided several times. i ended up with a coach & one other guy by the end of the first day & we were taken to the edge of our pucker level on day two
that said, it wasn't as intense as what i've read about gordycamps
but i would totally sign up with them again because, if nothing else, they're getting you choice lines, pow stashes all day & line cuts

    & gordy, doooo it again!

I sent Spydergraham the link to the forum hopefully he will get on here.

Another 11 year bump... never ended up moving to Whistler but did end up in Vancouver about 3 years after that trip and have skied hundreds of days around Whistler ever since. That camp was my first proper WB ski experience after a few family trips growing up where I never even scratched the surface. Thanks Gordy.

Hope you are doing well hoarhey!
