    New Mid Life Crisis Toy

Bought a new '07 for a fairly good price. Didn't feel like buying a used bike fearing the damage that other fat asses such as myself do to 'Large' frames.

Funny what a new toy does to your motivation to ski, and looking at the calender for spring. First new bike since riding Leaville back in the early 90's.

Looking forward to riding with some of you this summer, if I can keep up. Not likely.

Damn brotha, that red beeyotch is sexy. That bike'll do you good I think.

BTW, I am guessing those Leadville legs never truly go away, and you'll be flooring it up puke hill on the big ring by the end of June (if it has melted by then .

Looking forward to riding this summer.

Nice ride. You're gonna like the Brain assisted rear shock for climbing. (and descending!)

    Disregard my voice message.

I think you'll love that bike! Until you convert it to a single speed, you will now look at your rigid old Stumpy with disdain.

    IG,

I appreciate your efforts today. But impatience, and wanting something soy and shiny made me purchase new.

That looks really awesome. I'm a big fan of FSR suspension.

Any idea of the bike weight?

Larges are typically 27-28 pounds stock if I recall. They feel much lighter when your riding them though.

I don't think any of us believe that we'll be close to keeping up with you on the climbs...and we're all holding on to hope that maybe we'll be faster on the descents to make up for it.

Nice ride...you gonna join the maggot contingent in Moab this spring???

    A few questions

    1) How much did it cost?
    2) How much did you tell Niki it cost?
    3) How did you convince Niki that this fit into your new "financial plan"
    4) Can I get a copy of the financial plan so I can convince my wife I need a new ride too

I told Nik it retails for $10,000. But it was on sale ending today for far, far less. And that as a good investment, I should obviously buy it now. Not only for monetary reasons, but also mental health.
