Tele skiing is for Gapers.
There's nothing better than sliding down snow, and flying through the air

Every day we ski I tell my wife that her bindings are broken and every day she looks down her nose at me but I'm a moron.

Just an observation.
Look around you on any given hill, about 1% of tele skiers can actually ski. I mean in the fall-line, quiet, square upper body, using a wide variety of turn radii and carrying speed.
Except for places like Alta, where about 2% are rippers.
I tried to make a wittier response, I don't know how to be "whitier", I'll reread this thread for ideas:

Forced days on crutches/walker: 37
I'M WALKING AGAIN!!!
Days on snow: Are you kidding?

I have been teleing for 9 years now, some of the more fun days I have had was with people on snowboards. I don't care what you ride just ride the fall line. I literally am a gaper alpine skier, thats why I tele.

Everyone is equal on the mountain no matter what you ride. Actully nevermind snowblades is the exception

i think(high-level) tele'in is for resort livin' people who can ski 5+ days a week, or maintain a hi level of fitness. i fruit-booted exclusively for nine years, mostley averaging 50-90 days a year. when i had to actually settle down to a "Career", i felt the drop in ski days affected me adversley. when i started to Alpine again i was blown away how much more control and power were at my disposall. these days ,with dynafit products, i dont think there can be any crazy weight saving rants by the tele-crowd, that can't be matched by the DYNA-unit!

I agree 100%. Go to any telemark symposia and observe the dork-fest. Not only do the majority of the attendees actually suck at skiing, most of them strive to acheive some level of legitamacy through fashion. You can't swing a dead cat without hitting a Subaru driving wannabe dressed to the nines in Arcteryx, sporting a mountain man beard and using adjustable poles for skiing groomers.
I was actually told by a teleskier couple that a friend of mine wasn't much of a telemark skier because he didn't drop his knees enough. Funny thing was, the people making the comments are too chickenshit to ski off piste while my friend is perhaps one of the most accomplished local skiers around in terms of ability and style.
To me it doesn't really matter what you ride. If you suck, you suck.
