Fantasy Ridge HDV Video (try this again)
This vid crashed 4 times rendering, then the final render has one funky transition that the computer botched. Oh well, I don't feel like rendering another vid for 4 hours, then uploading, so the glitch will stay. Maybe I'll fix it when the skiing starts to suck and I have more time.
This vid will also, for now, only be in WMV HDV at 204mb. Why? Because the way it was shot, it was meant to be viewed on a big screen, so you can see Alto and his line in it's entirety, top to bottom. I'm encoding a QT non-hdv version that I'll upload later tonight.
Skiers are Drew Tabke, Jared Allen, and Tyler Knowles. Vid is just over 5 minutes, and is sort of about a "day in the life" of Adam Barker and his ho's. Still photos are cropped for video shot by Adam Barker.
WMV 204mb HDV
Quicktime not-HDV 89mb
The last time I posted this it got so much traffic it dropped my server. I called them, it's working again, not sure if it will stay that way. It's not a bandwidth issue, rather a traffic issue.Last edited by Trackhead; 02-19-2008 at 02:16 PM.

Every bit as good as advertised. Way to attack the lines.
I can't believe you are a rando racer because I look so much better in Lycra than you.

Wow.
After spending all of last week at Soli, and seeing that terrain up close,
I have a new respect for those lines. Nice work fellas.

It's so sick that I can never watch any vids on this work computer. I'm sure you guys killed it though. Nice work i'm sure.

Powder snow skiing is not fun. It’s life, fully lived, life lived in a blaze of reality. What we experience in powder is the original human self, which lies deeply inside each of us, still undamaged in spite of what our present culture tries to do to us. Once experienced, this kind of living is recognized as the only way to live–fully aware of the earth and the sky and the gods and you, the mortal, playing among them. Dolores LaChapelle

Thanks grizzle6 and Trackhead, that was very entertaining. I watched the footage three times just now, the HD is so clean. A tip of the hat to Drew, Tyler and Jared, you guys made it look easy. Nice choice with the Booker T too.
