Rossignol Undertaker 185 cm swallowtail snowboard

Erm, know there's a lot more skiers than boarders here, but ya never know.

NOS Rossi Undertaker swallowtail, 185 cm. A classic powder board that's sadly gone out of production (though since resurrected as the Big Gun). Picked this up last spring, but I've had a real bad season with colds and some major dental work that's kept me off the hill through the best part of the pow season, and it's going to be an expensive summer (getting married!) so !@#! it.

Not positive of the manufacture year, but probably around 03/04. It's in new condition - never even had bindings mounted. First $300 plus shipping from 97214 takes it, but I'll consider offers.

I know I have a bad case of low post count - I'm happy to meet a trusted local mag (I'm in Portland, OR) and do the transaction in person (i.e., he/she watches me ship the board, then hands over payment), or to accept payment by PayPal if we can split the fees.

Btw I have known Dan for several years through another forum and have never heard anything but positive comments on his transactions. He is a stand up guy.

oh, this looks like fun. I've been having second thoughts about my 160 Fish, what with the Gyrator and Banana shapes getting the good reviews.

What's the sidecut on a badboy like this?

Hi Tap, I don't know off the top of my head, but the specs _may_ be printed on the topsheet. I'll check tonight when I get home.

I'm betting that the Undertaker specs are pretty similar -- or the same as -- the Big Gun, Rossi's current big-mountain powder machine. Here are the specs for the Big Gun, just for reference:

    Length: 185
    Effective Edge: 145 cm
    Running length: 138 cm
    Waist width: 24.8 cm
    Stance width: 40/48/56 cm
    Sidecut Radius: 12.3 cm

12.3 sounds about right -- the Undertaker is supposed to be tuned for big-mountain, high speed riding, as well as pow, so that's the right neighborhood.

Anyway, I'll check the topsheet tonight and let you know if the specs are there.

Unfortunately, Bryan has other fish to fry right now...he broke a leg at SES and has his hands full coordinating getting his truck home from Colorado. Who knows, when he's back in town, he might wind up with 21 of these bad boys.

Hey Tap, the only stats printed on the topsheet are the stance, which do match the Big Gun. I'll poke around and see if I can dig up the rest of the info on the Undertaker - will post here if I find it.

    Hey RideWashington,

Thanks very much for your interest. A FoaF (friend of a friend) is thinking it over - you're second in line though. If he decides against it, I'd be happy to sell to you for $275, with delivery in the Portland metro. Let me know what you think.

    Thanks,
    Dan

That's a sweet board. Whoever gets it will really enjoy it.
