NEED HELP mounting in VAIL/ summit, store wont mount my s916 binder, urgent

so i tried to get a pair of 4 yr old 916s mounted on both new gots and new ak rockets,
but the store, after telling me they could do it now figures out that the bindings are indemninfied, or sumthin like that, and they refuse to touch em.
so i thought i was set to ski on the brand new gots tomorrow that i have been jonesing for all season, but turns out now i am SOL.

can someone in vail/ summit county pleeze help me mount these? tonight? beers will be bestowed on the savior.
ideally i wanna get on em before the crowds take over this weekend.
im so pissed right now bout the F'n brutal legal BS with stupid binding companies and stores, these binders are better than most of the other ones they are legally putting on everyone elses skis.

i crave ripping alpine turns again, please help!

You could try Buzz's in Vail Village, when I got my EP Pros mounted with 900s I took them to Buzz's because the place I normally go did not have a jig that was wide enough. And those bindings were like 11 or 12 years old as well so there should not be a problem.

They are still indemnified, but may be missing some critical bits. I know a lot of 9/16s would lose the plastic cap-type things at the ends of the toepieces.

If anything see if they will drill the holes for you, and then you can't "mount" the bindings yourself.

In Breck, I've always had good luck with Avanlanche Sports. You could check Colorado Freeride and the little ski hut on Ski Hill Road also.

And, if those are 4 year old 916's, I really don't think those bindings should be indemnified yet. Sounds like your shop either looked at the list wrong or doesn't know what they are talking about.

If you know how to drill holes and turn screws, do it yourself. I do my own 90% of the time

You want the bindings to still be indemnified...

Per the dictionary it means: "to secure against hurt, loss, or damage"

That means Salomon still stands behind the product. If they were no longer on the "indemnified binding list", then a shop would refuse to mount them.

If this is true that means the binding may release with to little pressure, thus failing the release test..... aka a shop will not mount them...

If you can make it down to Aspen, Raps may be able to help. He's had good luck with mounting "older models"

    thanks for all the responses.

as i thought when i left the shop it sounds like these bindings are still good,
the problem was Colorado Ski and Golf in CO springs, my mistake right there,
must just be incompetent and should be avoided in the future

think i found a solution though,
    happy turns

NEVER let anyone with "golf" in thier name touch your skis.

Whoops. Got it backwards. I think what I meant came across correctly even if I said it wrong.
