Holy shit...
Much love to Billy. Hope this turns out to be nothing life-threatening or life-changing...Skiing, whether you're in Wisconsin or the Alps, is a dumbass hick country sport that takes place in the middle of winter on a mountain at the end of a dirt road.

2nd link:
Professional extreme skier Billy Poole, 28, was seriously injured this morning during filming in Big Cottonwood Canyon between Solitude and Brighton ski resorts.
Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office spokesman Paul Jaroscak said earlier reports of an avalanche in the area were false. Pooele was filming a jump, landed hard, and possibly hit some rocks.
He was flown by helicopter to an area hospital, Jaroscak said.

Fuck.
Vibes. Hope he's better soon."Oh, no pics. To simulate the skiing today, walk out your door, grab a handful of snow, and throw it in your face. Repeat as necessary.

Based on the video on the KUTV site it looks like he was skiing some of the especially long and gnar east facing lines. It's hard to tell exactly where he came down or what he might have hit, but there is plenty of stuff in that area that could do it. RIP Billy
