When I was a new guy somewhere a few years ago, a boss asked me to go ask a guy for pneumatic fluid. I was like, ummmm, no?

When I worked on a crab boat, one of the other guys told me he once sent a greenhorn to the hardware store for a long weight. Apparently the clerk at the hardware store waited about an hour and then sent the kid back to the boat. Good shit

    10" @ Winter Park.
First lap, untracked & super soft.
Bobbing through the trees and some guy who's standing (static) gladeside left bemoans:

    "Hey! That's my line!"

I laugh maniacally as I disappear into the fog:

"I am the artic powder weasel! ..."

I'm pretty sure I do plenty of that between kiteboarding, surfing, mountain biking, rock climbing, skiing, trail running, and getting into white water kayaking.

Reminds me of a day a few seasons ago when a neighbor and I drove up for a double digit report and got third chair on the Pali... When we unloaded, the first two pairs headed right, so we thought we'd try to shoot down Griz and take Gun Barrel down to Tower 10 bowl to hopefully catch first tracks in West Turbo and Turbo... As we're getting to T10, I see there's a guy ahead of us, and we're not going to catch him... I figure he's headed for WT, so I go towards skiers left on Turbo, only to have this guy break right and head to the same spot... My buddy had already ducked into the trees above WT, so I figure my shot at an untouched escalator ride is over... And then the dude in front of me FUCKING STOPS! I couldn't believe it. I blew by him and rolled over into thigh deep goodness all the way to the traverse. Dude yelled something at me as I went by... Could not have fucking cared less.... Man, that was a fun day.

some rookie front deskie was all butthurt the other day:

Turns out he had his first tune on his first board from the ski shop and they did not match the pTEX color on the base of his board when repairing, and he was bent out of shape because the black pTEX doesn't look good on his white base and that "if they cared" the shop employee would have matched the color of his base.

    Cue tiny violin...

It is a cardinal rule of restoration that new material always be identifiable as such and removable without causing further damage. I don't see why principles that apply to 18th century furniture shouldn't apply to 21st century snowboards.
