Never skied there so I had to do some caltopo investigating...it certainly gives Northstar a run for it's money.

Of course, the most dangerous place at Northstar is end of the day on the (green) Village Idiot run, where everyone's returning to the base parking at wildly differing speeds.

Guy in line this morning complaining to the lifty about the delayed opening after a warm overnight storm: "Why are they doing avalanche control? There's only 4 inches here - a 4 inch slab won't hurt anyone!"

Of course there may be only 4 inches (of cement) at the base but it was 12+ inches at the top and wind loaded areas had over 2 feet. Not to mention the silliness of complaining to lift ops about AC policy.
