Well, for starters, I'm not so ignorant of basic fucking geography that I would refer to Puerto Rico as a separate country. I'm not such a bigoted twat as to assume people are poor because they're lazy and they're lazy because they're brown.
What are you gonna do, big tough John Gault type dipshit?

So . . . You would interrupt your vacation in Italy to give geography lessons?

Is that before or after the bitch slap beat down?

Well dipshit I wouldn't do a fucking thing because unlike yourself I know I can't fix stupid people like you. I also know that a dipshit like you would've sat on his ass and not said a damn thing just like you wouldn't have the courage to call me a dipshit to my face.

Eating dinner in Vernazza, ordered pasta and got a huge plate. I asked the very friendly waiter--I always thought in Italy you had a little appetizer, than a little pasta, then a meat dish. This plate of pasta is a whole meal. Is that just for the tourists? He said no, Italians don't have the time to eat a multi course meal any more. If they have a choice they prefer McDonald's. (No McDonald's in Vernazza, fortunately.)

Out on my slalom skis with the skis reversed, pointed tips out to save edges, some guy on the lift looked at me and said, "You have those on wrong, you know."

    "Really? Geez, thanks, mister."

More gaper fun is just around the corner! In the meantime there's this:

A fee weeks ago I was riding the tram up Snowbird. The only other passengers were a family of Texans staying up at Snowbird for a couple days. [How do I know they were Texans? They kept going on about how "back in Texas it's so-and-so."] About half way up dad asks the operator "When do they shut this all down for the winter?" The operator (who I know) and I glanced at each other wide-eyed and mouths hanging open. He replied, "Uh.... we don't. This is a ski resort. People will be skiing here soon." Texas dad let out whoop and asked where people ski - it all looked too impossibly steep, rocky, crazy. I told him, "Everywhere! People ski pretty much everywhere you can see from here." He whooped again and said, "Y'all got some pretty crazy folks up here in these here mountains!"

Can't make it up. Lord save us.

Ski spears sounds like an appropriate name for them, like when gapers are obliviously walking around with the things sticking out and almost stabbing people. I can imagine how these folks hold their umbrellas on a crowded sidewalk.

In fairness, patrol probably hadn't taken the moguls out of storage yet; the hill looks entirely different before they're set up.

Oh man, just after I dropped in the snow was soft. Great run.

"So then does this river go in a circle??"

    - Approx. 1 in 5 groups that got in my raft this summer upon realizing the river was taking them away from the bus and their cell phones and wallets

No sir, the bus driver just moves the bus.

Today at Whistler on the Red Chair, as we were approaching the top, I went to lift the bar and asked the nice woman from Florida beside me to move her skis off the foot rest. After a bit of a struggle, she finally managed to move her skis. Then as I lifted the bar at the last moment, she said, "What now?" I gently lifted her up and held her as we skied away from the ramp.
