After A/C at Park City, Jupiter chair is about to open, huge line up, mid- 80s.

2 Patrollers cut around the queue to get on the chair, once they are up about 1/2 way the chair will open.

It was a good snow morning, maybe 20" new with wind and the lift op hadn't gotten the end of his ramp completely shoveled out. Both patrollers wearing backpacks on a Yan double so they were a bit forward on the seat. One of them hooks a tip in the new snow and starts getting pulled out so he grabs the other guy rather than the chair bale and both get yanked out and into the new deep snow. The crowd goes wild cheering and heckling.

The guy who got his tip caught begins berating the lift op for not getting the snow moved, the crowd really goes wild now. Same guy starts screaming at the crowd that if they don't STFU he will take their passes. We are talking maybe 70-90 people, it nearly devolved into a riot.

That guy quit patrolling at the end of the year (he really wasn't cut out for it) and last I heard he was a Maryland State Parks cop at a park near Baltimore.

I was not the other guy.

My Favorite Gaper quote and I see/hear it often is someone on the ground yelling up to someone on the chair, "hey! Wait".

    Or vice versa.
I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.

The guy who taught me to surf had a little piece of astro turf he stood on to change in/out of his wetsuit. Seemed like a good idea... When I'm 50 I'll probably do it too.

What if you just get a big roll of turf/rug and bring a square of it with you to boot up/down (boot down?). Then just leave the dirty piece lying there in the parking lot and drive away. Not your problem anymore so who cares right?

Feed the rats to the cats, and the cats to the rats, and get the cat skins for nothing!

For some reason this has been sound city slicker protocol for generations.

After all these years, today is the first time I've noticed that Quote is misspelled in the thread title. I credit this to recent injection of who-knows-what.

Dust on crust day at Alpine Meadows, only one lift still running and minimal maze--there was a double release in the lift line this morning. Guy just standing there when someone pushed past him, knocked him over and the first guy released both skis. The guy who knock him over kept going after making sure no injury and pushed his way past a bunch more people until he finally found a group willing to take a single.

One ride up I had to listen the whole time to a guy ranting about Epic resorts closing early and other associated issues. Hard to put someone on ignore in real life.

Is that actually Hominidae Gorilla? If so post the video.

Otherwise I’m assuming it’s another racist reference by a crusty old fossil.
