Well said. Also worth noting that if someone truly thinks a 109 underfoot ski is a hardpack ski, they are the gaper.

I don’t need it to ski powder but my protest, kusala and lotus make it so fun. Skiing is fun. Reason it seemed funny is 109 is my smallest ski. Most are 120+ but if you come to my local hill I can show you why

I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

Thanks BCSAR and POWMOW Ski Patrol for rescues

Lotta skis. When someone keeps searching for the perfect ski the problem isn't the ski. (I know from personal experience.)

    Make Skinny Skis Great Again

Two more winners from this week:

While in line for the gondola at Aspen, I turn back to see another pristine aging cougar decked out in Jet Set ($1000 stretch designer ski wear) jacket/pants. Rocking the $1100 White Bogner visor helmet with a pair of goggles strapped on her face. I was hoping we'd get to witness her pulling the visor over her goggles for some sort of advanced clarity...

NSR, but funny - Friends of ours live $3M house in Aspen, and are the runt of their neighborhood. Mariah Carey rents the $15M house next door to them each Christmas for a week. The houses shares a narrow driveway/turnaround and they get a lot of action from her entourage coming and going. A large box shows up at our friend's door - Fedex Overnight with ~$1000 of fresh seafood packed in it. They figure a family member sent it to them and start to eat/freeze some of it, thinking what a generous gift. The next day they realize it was sent for Mariah'a house and though they attempted to make contact, no one ever shows up to claim it. I guess the feast is theirs at this point.

Riding the lift yesterday making small talk with an obvious flat-lander:

Him: "My dad read in the local newspaper someone cut their dick off with an e-ski."
    Me: "Uhhhh...wait what?"
Him: "Yeah it was in the newspaper, some guy had an accident using an e-ski. You know skis with snowmobile treads and a battery pack that you can use to go up hill."
Me: "Whoa, that's pretty wild" (realizing he's referring to a satire article in the local quarterly outdoor magazine)
Him: "Yeah I can't believe it was in the newspaper."
Me: "It must've happened locally, but I want to know more about these skis with snomobile treads. Seems like it would be pretty sweet to use so you don't have to hike uphill."
Him: "yeah except having your dick cut-off"
    Me: "Good point."

This happened right at the end of the lift ride, so I told him to have fun skiing and just skied off chuckling to myself.

    Seen over the Holidays.

In bounds boilerplate airbag with REI price tag still attached... on rental skis.

Jacking up mini van (in drop off zone-shuttle stop) to remove chained wheels... blue bird, bone dry roads.

    Both Indian.

Maybe mini van driver was the other guy's dad?

Maybe an earnest, dissatisfied dad wishing he had a lifted AWD Sienna to put the hurt on that bank?
