    In my mailbox today

    I got the new Spring 2008 Orvis Fly Fishing Catalog.

    I know alot of people think Orvis is for rich people that don't know what they are doing, but they make some good gear (if you are willing to pay for it). Plus, having a new catalog to thumb through when it is 10 below outside is always good. I could certainly see myself spending insane amounts of money in this catalog.

    Funny, I got that in the mail too, and thought the same exact thing!

    I found myself paging through the Cabellas FF catalog on the john the other day pondering the same thing.

    Orvis= overpriced suckage
    For the $$$ there are a lot of companies that make a hell of a lot better equipment whether it be waders, rods, reels vests etc. IMO
    I finally covinced the dog food and water tastes the same out of tupparewear containers as a $120 Orvis feeding station.
    They do market well as it seems like Iv'e guided a hell of a lot of shitty fisherman with the whole orvis ensambles.

    heh, I guess you're right.

    I was looking at the fly tying stuff in that catalog, but I have two perfectly good local shops with materials for alot cheaper.
