Loveland was deserted yesterday for their opening. At the busiest, parking lot was less than half full and the lift was ski-on all day. Nice breath of fresh air from last years' cluster all season. Hope it stays that way and goes back to the low key, low crowd ski area it used to be.

I was doing my part bootlicking Super Bowl today. Patrol fired some shots at me so I scurried off but got some good work in.

Loveland's (& ABay's) WROD might get a little crowded this Thanksgiving if other areas don't have much open.

needs much snow, but holding up. I think somebody took a lawnmower and edger out there to clean things up.

Meant to post this a while ago but it’s nice to see Loveland open a top to bottom ungroomed run without snowmaking before any other front range ski area. Hopefully this is a sign of more aggressive terrain opening policies this year.

Yeah, and Pip’s going to wear head covering this season.

There have been years with far better coverage than this year where they waited longer to get nix open. We will see after another storm or so if they get skiers on cats and busy. All jokes aside, they have been very diligent on packing the steeps this season as well. Often times they have waited for more snow to pack A-Bowl and Zoom, but they have been out on those early. I see lots of good small tweaks for the better that make me hopeful

There will never be enough bootlicking to satisfy the “locals”.
