I didn't post an opinion on whether or not the name was accurate, I was merely explaining what everyone calls it. All the front range resorts are pretty flat IMO.

Hey DD. I'll paypal you $1,000.00 if you produce a 100% legit video of you hitting Kong Rock from the top. No bullshit. Any weirdness, no money. Get other people involved. I expect the meet up at the beach to see you do that will attract one of the largest crowds in TGR history. You're a bad ass? What's up?

Loveland doesn't have EpicTards. That alone is a reason to choose it over Abay. There are plenty of hucks if patrol can get 9 open by then.
People who believe A-Bay (excepting the east wall) is way more gnarly than Luv probably think the Ridge ends at where the Cat drops off, never hiked the southern ridge, or haven't skied West ropes. Yes Pavi is more sustained than 1, but it's more like Luv's lift 1 than it is like CB North Face, Taos West basin, or JH Crags.

I actually have never heard that. Wasn't trying to be a smartass. Ok, well, I was, but not because I was making fun of the name, I didn't know there was such a name. Was thinking it was just being used as an adjective, and that seemed funny.
I guess when you think about, it's still mostly the same smart-assedness. Carry on."fuck off you asshat gaper shit for brains fucktard wanker." - Jesus Christ

A Basin has better terrain than LL. LL has no gapic shitshow, better snow, and no need to drive through the tunnel or over the divide.
But for gnar, CB wins every day.

High lighted the part of your quote that matters the most to me.
A-basin has better food, terrain doesn't matter when it's beat to shit and usually not as much snow as LL for any given storm.
CB has terrain, but gets shit for snow and some years it's a long damned time before the North Face is even open.
So for my money I've had more great days at LL in a season than I've had at more than 30 years of skiing CB, and that includes spending a whole season going to Wasted State in Gunni.

Loveland tomorrow?
Ha! Figured that was the case. Loveland patrol must do a good job of keeping some rope company somewhere in business. No ski area runs as much rope as Loveland.
Unfortunately I keep going back to them every year. Not really sure why...I guess it is a damn fun place to ski once they finally get their heads out of their asses by about February. But this shit is excruciating every year. It's not really getting any better and probably won't until pip leaves.

Loveland tomorrow?
Digital death, if you are going to be in colorado to ski please consider ABasin/copper / Breck.
Loveland is ok but all the Loveland fanboys in this thread have distorted perception.
Plenty of gnar at Breck / copper / ABasin without Loveland patrol closing any gnar.
For example, Pali is open. What comparable is open at Loveland?Last edited by WTF is dat; 12-17-2015 at 01:36 AM.

Believe it or not, all the local ski areas have some fun terrain, some more than others. Now if you want gnar....CBLast edited by hatchgreenchile; 12-17-2015 at 08:43 AM.

Where is A-Basin's snow stake?
I know Luv's is hidden in some wind-protected trees slightly below mid-mountain. So it shows how much snow fell, but not if its wind scoured / wind filled. At least unlike Breck the read from the top of the pile, not what is covered around the ruler.
