I started my own thread for this but thought maybe some frequenters of this thread might know - are there any strict rules on actually having an uphill access pass at Loveland?

Yes. Call the ski area, ask for the patrol.

Define "strict". I forgot my pass one day and a patroller asked me where it was, I told him I forgot it and it was no big deal.

But it's free and takes less than 5 minutes.....why not just get one? Have some one drop off a waiver for you if you can't get there when they're open

Yo man. It's just a liability thing for them more than anything. My bud said they probably won't bust your chops, but there are one or two patrollers that will.

Big thanks to the guys from ON3P skis for hosting a demo today. Those may have been an expensive four runs, the Jeffrey 114s were awesome.

Slowly, new terrain is opening. Rumors of chair 4 tomorrow.

Should be enough snow this week to open some more goodies off chair 1.........fingers crossed.

4 ran today and coverage was overall good for the snow this year. The Luv opened stuff up under 1 as well, and it was variable--good to sharky. By the end of the day it was snowing and very windy-Loveland, who knew, right?? I was surprised though as a lot of people were still on the mtn at 3pm.

This storm will fill things in nicely!

Overall, I'm guessing thousands of metric tons of snow fell today over the ski area, but it's kinda hard to eyeball that kind of thing, y'know?

Monday was great. If you got there early and missed traffic. Got 2nd chair off Lift 4. Top was super wind fucked, but a bit further down it was knee to thigh deep. Trees all over were money. Especially if you were willing to push out of the meadow off lift 6. Cats / Busy were skiing super soft. Patrol mentioned A-Bowl was close to ready, and work was happening over on 8. Next week should see a bunch of terrain opening.

Skiing solo so no action shots on day 10 of my season at Luv.

Spun the lifts 30 minutes earlier than normal, barely made it up before everyone else. Beautiful morning for a skin though.

The best part of Luv is skiing right to your van.
