At 5:30 there was more snow on my deck in Boulder than at the hill. Slept in.

See you suckas up there tomorrow though. Anyone heading from Boulder/Denver?

Weather station linked from CAIC shows -6. Yes! break out the puffy coats.

i'm in for tomorrow, bearded idiot with big bro 192's probably not too many of those out there yet. i'll keep an eye out for pp and tc. hopefully this turns into something decent. disappointed with the snowfall totals so far. Watching the news (the great predictor that they are) they show predictions for grandby and summit, but nothing along the divide. plenty of snow heading out to tohelluride and silverton area as well

i've checked the cams a few times and it looks pretty clear, the radar shows most of the moisture being just on the very front range. I think loveland is getting hosed on this one.

    Summit Cove-

Fu*king cold with little new snow. woke up this AM, -6 degrees on the deck, couple inches maybe and really nothing new all day. Unless it snows tonight - not going to be much of a day. (unless you're going B.C.)

Touring with the XC skis unless we get some decent fresh.
    I think I'm going mad.

evplosivs seem like the perfect ski for the current conditions

I'm probably going to head to Vail today since I need to burn a few of my blackout days and there is no new snow anywhere.

Will anyone be up on Saturday?

Ok, I admit it, I am a softy. I saw -15 with 20 mph gusts and 0 new snow and went back to bed.

I should be up tomorrow, as it is supposed to be colder and I love I 70 on Saturdays.

The good news is, I didn't burn a day off and can chase a proper storm some weekend soon.

If it makes you guys feel any better.... I dropped my parents off at the airport around 9:30 and headed to Loveland. Got to around the 470 junction and traffic was BRUTAL already. It was bumper to bumper moving about 30 mph max- so I too decided not to head up for the day. I can't imagine how bad it was in the mountains. The sign said Empire was an hour from that point- yikes.

My girl and I will be up tomorrow morning- either real early or late morning.

    Damn, traffic already.

I am going to head up early and get one of those huge breakfasts you can get in the lodge. I can't stand traffic, so would rather read the paper and eat breakfast than sit in a parking lot on I-70.

    See you there.

Poop Ghost called me from Chair 1 wondering where all the maggots were. I told him we all soft, but were warm while he was freezing his ass off.
