TR: Undisclosed location, pow of Doom!

Sickest pow ever! Today, Nads and myself were escorted up a sick, undisclosed sled location in the sea-to-sky corridor by a few friends. Although the viz was too bad to access the Alpine terrain, the trees had the deepest pow I've ever skiied. All in all a kick-ass day despite my very poor sledmanship causing us to exit well after dark...

I have the select few fotoz, none skiing though as it was too sick to take out the cam.

All I have to say is that the snow was BOTTOMLESS. Not knee deep, or chest deep, or neck deep. This stuff had no bottom. As evident by the repeat bomb holes, and sled digging. "Oops" Mission impossible got us off the hill 3 hours after dark, fun times indeed.

The road in to said undisclosed location.

RugbyDave's stoke factor is off the charts.

Oh, and on a closing note, I'd like to dedicate this thread to everyone (postman22, dirtybryan, a-train etc) who is back east for x-mas, hope you're enjoying low angle groomers and 800foot ice sheets! You missed out on the sickest day EVER.

You've had a purple satellite blob over you for a day or two. I was wondering when the shots would start rolling in.

    Nice stuff.

Mmm, 2-stroke smoke and tree skiing. Sounds like a recipe for a good day on the snow! Lot's of new revs in your group, are those things as unstoppable as everyone says they are?

And that is different from any other day how...? Glad to hear you are out getting some. A bit jealous of the bottomeless pow you slayed, all i have gotten this season is waist deep to no bases left (well, they were left on the rocks).

Glad you guys had a good day. I had a FUCKING AWESOME day on the hill today. No lift lines, and bottomless blower (if you knew where to look ).

I'll see you on the 27th. Have a good Christmas!

Wow... nice, those pics are some great stoke. Sea to sky has some truly epic terrain.

There are some issues with the 08's, they seem to be blowing drive belts like no other. Chris went through two yesterday. I think BRP is warrantying them, until they fix the problem. But yeah, I'd say 80% of the sleds up there yesterday were 08 summits. Those things destroy.

That's too bad about the belts. I heard that those new clutches are a PITA to change the belts on too. Price you pay for a 1st generation sled I guess.

    Awesome.

I guess your knee is good to go after T-Ride?

    Glad to see it!

You and Ms. Mc-Give'r need to quit flirting and get down to bidness.

man that looks awesome... I need a sled. After today I'm so tired of jack ass resort skiers with attitude. I almost turned some fuck heads daughter into mince meat pie after the dumbass ignored Dave's warning to stop on the traverse while I came down 5.0 carrying wicked speed.

Nope, whole new special spot north of here. Sickest terrain, full of pillow lines, and cliff drops to steep trannies, soooooooo much fun and bottomless. Dave dropped a 15fter into a bombhole and just made it deeper, didnt bottom out or anything.

I have a "complex tear of the medial meniscus that extends to the posterior horn" but I'm not having too much pain anymore, going to wait to summer to get it nibbled out. The acl is just stretched a tad.

McGiv'r has a boyfriend, I think he'd be a little upset, and he's a bully too, I wouldn't want to piss him off... anymore.

I heard the details from dave, it seems the holidays brings out the moron in touron, apparently the guy was local though? What an idiot. You hardly have the right to complain about nearly getting smoked after you were warning and proceeded to tell the spotter off saying "I can do whatever I want" and then tell you that you can't straight line. Future darwin award candidate.

Yes, you need a sled. Everyone I've meet sledding has been super cool, overly supportive. Nobody gets left behind, hence why we all got off the hill at 7:30 at night. Tandeming up for an hour sucks, especially with creek crossings. I'm still in the process of guilting dave for not getting one this summer.
