"Teton Skiing - Legends of the Fall Line" DVD - buy it!

There are a few threads mentioning this, but no thread driectly telling folks to buy this DVD that Trackhead made.

It's not just for Teton skiers, its awesome for any ski mountaineer.
Video interviews of Andrew McLean, Bill Briggs, Tom Turiano, Steven Koch, Jeff Rhodes, John Newcomb, etc, etc. etc. plus some legendary not-so-gnarly but way ahead of their time Jackson locals reminiscing about skiing the pass in the 30s and 40s.

A top notch production - its like a Ken Burns docudrama of skiing in the Tetons. This isn't just some maggot's home movie - Trackhead's work here is excellent and worthy enough to appear on Wyoming Public Television and the ski film festivals.

I knew the story from having read Tom Turiano's book and other JH histories, but seeing video interviews of some of these folks was a treat, as was the ski segments.

Also has some modern Maggot mountaineering and skiing video, complete with prominent PMGear BroModel slutting.

All in all, a solid movie and one deserving a place in your video library.
There's more talking and interviews than most ski porn, but the skiing video footage is the best ski mountaineering porn I have ever seen.

THUMBS UP for a good movie, seen it parts of it countless times having it playing in the shop and it never gets old.

Yah, a good movie. But you're a little late to the party. I think it's been out for at least a year -- got my copy last winter.

I need another copy myself. I don't think Trackhead posts here anymore? I'll reach out to him.

Check the Jackson Hole Historical Society, I think we sent them a bunch of copies.

This was so long ago I purged it from my life..........I don't even have any of the old stock footage anymore.

    Teton County Library for me.

TrackHead I hope it was a healthy purge.

I've forgotten how excellent it is. It's got everything: crappy snow, many of the big guys, Doug C,. old Scarpa boots and those ice axe ski pole things. Headbands and cool old jackets.

    It really made my day.

Every purge is healthy I don't even have a copy anymore. I don't think I could watch it for another 20 years. Maybe I should get one so I can see it then.

Too bad. Your Moran TR (and z3's) and the footy in large part inspired me to go do it.

I somehow missed this thread when it was fresh.
