Thumbs up Post your favorite picture (or memory) of last summer

Even though today is the coldest (thus far) and second shortest (with respect to daylight), I am reminded of how much I love riding is and how soon (after plenty of good ski days) riding season will be here...

Although I had far too many equally good rides last summer, here is my favorite pic. It sums up pretty much why I love to ride and why come March/April, I'll make the full migration to Sprockets.

    Thanks bike riding mags.

At first I thought this would be easy, and it would just be of Whistler, but I had so much fun on so many trails this summer, I'm not sure it's possible to pick just one!

Can't narrow it down to one so:

Looking back this summer pretty much kicked ass, biking trips are great.

I didn't get ANY good biking pics this year.

    Can I still play?

that's spring skiing season! Riding season doesn't begin for me in full force until June or July.

Was insanely busy with starting up a new shop this year, so the riding took a bit of a hit. 2008 should see a return of the 200 days/year of riding that I'm used to...

Only got out for one shoot this year and this was what we came up with:

Can't do just one, but I have to say '07 was my best riding season ever. Tons of traveling (including lots of MTB meccas - whistler, moab, north carolina, seattle), I was riding really well, no major injuries...just an amazing season.

Oh and btw it's still going...rode my ass off in Ohio with a few friends here who introduced me to their tradition: SDLR (shortest day, long ride). Knocked out about 26 miles yesterday and my out of shape ass got punished!

And no riding season is complete without a trip through Jackass...was lucky enough to get one spring and one fall trip in this year. photo cred JoshP:

Gettin' in one last good and high one before moving somewhere coastal.

Riding with an old dude, and watching him do some cool trials stuff all day. He was hopping up there a good long while before doing a beautiful slow speed trials style wheelie drop. Nothing super huge, but the old dude has some serious bike handling chops.

Riding with some cool people. And their owners.

    New riding spots.

I didn't get to do much mtn biking this summer, but was riding around this old roadie for the summer while living in Montreal. This was mid a 40 mile ride, one of my favorite shots all summer.

I usually ride by myself so action shots are rare. Thanks Particle for getting me at least one this year.

My first season doing legit mountain biking. My roommate and I explored Demo forest in Santa Cruz, CA.

Thanksgiving day coast ride with my roommate. ~100 miles climbing over the Santa Cruz mountains to the ocean and back. Don't know what was better, the ride or the cheese cake I mowed when I got home (Turkey got made on Friday, too tired when we got back)

I'm excited that ski season has started, but I already miss my rolling toys.

I spent most of my summer behind the lens after breaking my neck and back in april, lots of memories, lots of good pics, here are two from crankworx....the first was the berm slayage mega session that went down when on the first night, they had timing issues and Brian Lopes took it upon himself to start entertaining the crowd by absolutely destroying this set of berms, it turned into all out war, and the crowd loved it, made a great time out of a mediocre situation....second is some random dude sessioning the redbull jumps with the sun setting.....
