There were moments today where it was dumping so hard. Crazy grabby snow to the point where I was having trouble maintaining speed on the flats

    Is winter cancelled?

I feel like it's going to be too warm for snow in April given how damn warm this Winter has been thus far.

Lift served corn harvest wouldn't be so bad. Haven't gotten that outside of A-Basin in a while.

I was hoping for the same this past weekend but didn't really pan out. Just a few too many high clouds and enough wind to keep things firm.

My timing is consistently terrible for corn. While I don't seek it out, I'd love to stumble upon it
Got Avy1 in RMNP this weekend and expecting it to be slush or sastrugi

It's corn-o-clock in RMNP at around 1130am on anything south and in the sun. Damn near perfect corns to be had. Sorry I'm being so corny.

I'm glad everyone is giving up

two more weeks of spring break hell and then it'll all settle down, the slopes will be free of gapers, front rangers, and punters

some excellent skiing on the way next month

I guess just because it hasn't snowed in like a month everyone is forgetting about the nice base out there

If we keep having 10C at 3500m and it's going to be a short spring.

Seriously. I spent 2 years in Canada and 3500m and 10c still don't mean shit to me.

In other news, sage advice from today's CBAC forecast: "Another lesson, learned by a recent comrade after a big objective in Aspen, is to never drink any unmarked Gatorade bottle with neon green liquid, found near a snowmobile. You might be parched, but it just might be coolant, and it just might leave you with an emergency room visit and $40,000 helicopter ride to Denver."

I've spent years trying to make metric intuitively correlate in my head... I'm to the point where meters match pretty well in mind. *C works pretty well in my head because of my medical background. Sometimes I brain fart and have to do the mathematical conversion. And sometimes I brain fart and spit out metric in a 'Merican thread.

I'll go listen to some country music and pour out some English breakfast tea in penance... will that suffice? Or do I need to sing three star spangled banners and two america the beautifuls?
