^^ Skied a line near Lake City last weekend and was blown away by how little snow there was. Granted, LC is in the rain shadow, but I ski that zone quite a bit at this time of year and I hadn't seen it like that before. Dust has been sticky around here.

Depressing graph considering I'm in the middle of a move and then traveling the first week of May.
Ugh. Yeah I don't have much time to get out in the next two weeks, but was hoping to get a bit more steep skiing in without having to walk on dirt a long ways.

To add, the snowpack averages were recently updated and are now based on 1990-2020 precipitation totals. Due to persistent drought, totals are generally lower across the West.
That helps explain why it's an "average" year, despite 200-250" YTD in northern CO.

In the La Platas yesterday, and damn was it slow on the exit. Don't think I've ever taken my skis off to walk on a downhill before.

Dipshits from FLA starting a open fire on Mt. Falcon. Story on 9news said the fine if they were caught would have only been $75. Why can't it be $75,000?

April droughts bring April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November, December wild fires. Sigh.

Speaking from experience, this plus a re-examination of your insurance policy(ies) is worth your time.

Saw a tractor trailer blow over on 25 south, between the springs and Pueblo.

It’s a beautiful day at the Icelantic Demo sale. But I feel like they screwed up the DIN settings on the drink holder…

Basin is awesome today but holy shit it’s crowded. I see a massive lineup of cars still coming in over Loveland Pass. Does anyone work anymore?
