    Extremely lucky.

    Have you skied there much?

I mean, it's still better than working, but I've had multiple "bad" days in the Butte.
Probably around 50 days. Haven't had a bad day skiing yet though, only one bad day snowboarding which ended in a broken arm. Actually most of the day was good, it was just that last run. If I'm sliding on snow it's a good day. 1st time I went to CB was in Feb 08, record breaking year, I think it snowed every day for the week we were there with multiple ~2' days, set the bar high for me but I keep going back.

I doubt you'll get any first-hand knowledge about Hourglass conditions, the snowflake-chasers are done for the year. There might be some ice but certainly no snow on a high west aspect down there this year. Unless there's some reason it has to be this year, I'd hold off until another season unless we get a couple good upslopes.

Looks like good backpacking in the Sangres by April.

Maybe you went to CBMR to ski pow?
That's doing it wrong. You don't go to CBMR to ski pow. You go there to ski terrain.

So... the "bad" days (I gotta quit calling them that) were, exclusively, days in which NONE of the "terrain" was open.

But yeah - I was probably doing that wrong, too - but I was younger and dumber... so... it may just be that I'm stupid.

These pulses of storms keep coming through. Really crazy weather. Not much snow though.

This. Although there was pow to be skied today. Until most of the lifts closed. We got on one of the last Silver Queen chairs and pretty quickly decided it might be worth putting the bar down

Wonder what the chances for the "Bland Reverse" this year given the weather...

    Every trip to CB.

caught a 6" day years ago on high tide, that was fun but the most recent trip was couple weeks ago. Banging fast groomers, skipping through thin steeps, and knocking back spicy bloodys. Had a great time.

Yeah, like this entire year, just about. Even so, I figure it's the same shit as every other CO resort without our steeps, just without as much traffic.

CB is always fun, regardless if it’s open wall to wall on a 80” base or shark city with 130” YTD.

Hammering on Rabbit Ears. 32 in town with super sloppy snow coming down (edit, back to rain )

I was worried about rain today but had a fun storm day at Vail. Never been there before. Might have rained at some point at the base, but I only saw snow. Snowed hard early

Watching the Vail stake for today, it swells to 6" and then shrinks back to just over 3".

I could see it getting boring quick if both t bars and the gate under silver queen we’re closed. Haven’t experienced that yet.

Did my obligatory season when there was no high lift or northface, and the twister lift turned.

There is some steeps to pick at besides bananna peel area. And keeping the groomers away from twister kept that part more interesting. We actually used to lap the twister lift quite a bit.

My final forecast for North America on the long term. My seasonal forecast went alright this season, but the models of recent show some more snowfall for the PNW/BC, and even Colorado into April.
