What’s up with the awful wildfire smoke in Summit/Eagle today? Is this a new fire somewhere or the Oregon fires?

^^ Yeah, it's ugly out there. Some nasty concoction of smoke, humidity, and storms.

Send some of that rain up north. Absolutely no rain for Steamboat. Zero. Everyday there is rain in the forecast. Everyday it doesn't happen, maybe a few sprinkles and dry lighting, lots of wind. Dry, smoky, and dusty af up here. Couldn't even see the moon last night through all the smoke. Meh.

frick no bueno! Yeah this monsoon season isn’t going too much west or north, sounds like far western CO is in the same boat as you.

So glad I left Utah after a year too, they just stay so incredibly dry every single summer.

I remember it snowed in Denver in September that year. Though it was pretty awesome. Great snow year and my first with a season pass at Vail. Good times.

I moved to Denver in '93 just after Labor Day... and it snowed around 5 inches shortly after I arrived. I can remember looking outside in the morning and being quite shocked that there was snow on the ground.

It's a beautiful thing to be able to stay here, even with how hectic it gets. I'm fortunate that I've made enough connections here over the years to really be able to make it work no matter what might arise in the craziness.
