Awesome chilly morning ride on the North Trail in Vail. Felt so amazing after such a hot summer in Denver.

Going hiking with the family at Hessie tomorrow, and riding West Mag on Wednesday. Gotta keep peeping some leaves!

I like skiing as much as anyone. But I think September is my favorite month in Colorado.
    The weathers just so nice!

^^^ yes but I’m torn. I love June when you have emerald green, wildflowers and snow capped peaks. Or April with empty slopes and deep powder.

Really can’t seem to make the decision if I want to drop $300 on a copper 5 pack right now. May just roll the dice and see if they end up doing a friends and family 5 pack deal in December and have a friend get me one if they do. Good chance they don’t do those this year though.

Is there a reasonable way to ski Copper without riding the bus? Of not, how do you feel about riding that bus?

Pay parking or walk from the free lot to Super Bee. Someone here told me there is a path that sometimes is obscured by a snowbank.

I think I’d be ok with a half empty bus, windows wide open, masks on and a 5 min ride to Super Bee.

You can walk to super b and if you get there early it really isn’t too far of a walk from alpine parking lot.

I’m fine to ski the basin most days but it’s not always the best place to be when it’s blowing snow sideways. Thing is you don’t really know that for sure until you wake up in the morning and look outside to see what the weather is doing. At which point will you be able to get a parking reservation for copper? Who knows. I do have a friend that lives in east village too.

^^^^^ Good to know. Only skied there a handful of times. Midweek rope drop on Tucker was among the best skiing I had last winter.

Per my brother who is one of the ski school managers, there's currently no indication that they will offer any friends and family 5-packs. I was hoping for the same.....

Your brother know if they will open up normal ski school this year? We have 2 younger ones that had a blast last year in ski school at copper and were planning to do the same this year.

As of now, ski school will not operate normally. I believe that they are still developing policies, but the current plan is offering private lessons for related parties. Youth programs could resume in 2021.

I got an update this weekend and it sounds like the Copper friends and family 5-packs will be offered.

^^ heard that last minute as well. I’ll be picking up that 5 pack when the time comes, saves $100 which is nice.

Vail Devo opened up for registration today. Guess we’ll see how many sign up, but looks like a go.

Looks like temps will drop 20 degrees or so on Sunday. Near record highs all week until then.
