Yeah, we had a touch and it made the snow really sticky early. Then the sun worked its magic and it was sublime.

I keep thinking the skiing might suck, but I’m always glad I got out!

Do they have that deal where you can ski the rest of this season on next season's pass?
Live each season as it passes; breathe the air, drink the drink, taste the fruit, and resign yourself to the influences of each.

When did the ABasin Beach stop being a thing? You fucking assholes can ruin literally EVERYTHING.

I recall 2009, 2010 and 2011 "beach" parties there, although hazily.

They stopped it during covid, it will come back.

But I'm sure it will feed your rant that they had started charging for the spots, you had to reserve in advance.

I remember an Easter Sunday there with hundreds of people partying, lots of skin, a potable hot tub, a stripper pole and stage and a rave. Hopefully next year will be more normal. They haven’t allowed anything like that this year although I did hear April 1 was fun.

I rolled in with my wife and kids that afternoon. Guy at the early riser gate says “heads up not exactly family friendly today”. I laughed.

    It is still a thing.

If you weren’t there for the Cardboard Derby then you missed it in its prime anyway. Kids these days just don’t party as hard as they used to.

Breck must still be cloud seeding secretly. 5" at loveland/basin, 3" at copper, then 9" here. I'll take it! I am still skeptical about their plan for memorial day, but hopeful mid may is possible.
