I feel that. Found some spots like that at copper yesterday and thought it was amazing, my friends I was riding with didn’t seem to get it.

Soo uh what happened to the snow this week?

Without a doubt, those are the best days at Breck......a weekday where it hasn't snowed in a few days, but the wind is working it's 'magic' up in the high alpine. Uncrowded, smoooooove, wind-buff goodness. "The wind is your friend".

That terrain in particular gets super fun with some wind buff.

Pretty sure all the snow from the last week is in Kansas by now, looked pretty stripped up there yesterday

It’s weird after this wind. Many areas are better than they’ve been all season, bumps are smoothed out, velvety buff goodness. But then you come around a corner and it is scraped down to rocks. This is where local knowledge comes in handy. Fucking Mach looney laps on Pali to day were fun.

The Beavers were still holding onto some good snow today but I had even more fun skiing the wind buff on Pali, it was so fucking good today.

Next they’ll break the secret of West Turbo and be hauling those starter jackets out on a stretcher.

While it did look very stripped in spots, it’s also very loaded in others. Patrol bowl looked more than skiable, question is what does the runout look like? Same with stuff further north of the chair.

Speaking of more wind buff, the inch or snow yesterday created some seriously good cream off of chair 4/8. The furthest over sunburst chute was the most perfect wind lip half pipe.

Dumping at Copper. Definitely more than the 4” report by the time the lifts started turning. Nice, quiet day out!
