I was out there for a few laps since my dependent pass was blacked out in Breck. Liftees weren't doing much to fully load chairs but it moved fast. Len closed for wind but upper ramrod had some seriously fun little booters building up.

Snow at loveland / Coon last night came in relatively heavy. Good base building snow. Coon is still sparse, but some little gullies are skiable.
Loveland got upper richards open and it skied great. As did directed skiing off Nix Nox. Lower richards I'd expect tomorrow.

Definitely all ikon pass turds at the basin right now per a few employee friends. Pretty funny watching snowboarders grab the entire RF scanner and start humping it to get their pass to scan

I went a few times this week. It was ok, better than expected even. Not too crowded. It’ll really let up when the other ikon resorts open up. Can’t be too far off.

I skied Mcmillan area from Red Mountain today. Pretty thin down low but up higher the skiing was surprisingly decent. Depending on the aspect you may be walking to get to skiable snow. Pretty consolidated in most spots but plenty of weak sugary snow hanging out. Did 3 short laps and shockingly didn't hit anything.

I skied at Loveland Thurs and the snow was fine. I was just lapping the groomer when I saw 7 patrollers duck the rope into lower richards and I got slammed with powder fever. Next good snowfall I will be getting mine, hahaha.

Went for a walk this weekend and was pleasantly surprised with the amount of snow we found….18”-20” on average. Felt good to ski some real snow again. Forecast looks bleak in the near future for anything significant.

Near and above TL is definitely holding snow a lot better than lower altitudes would lead you to believe.

Looks like Denver will set a new record for latest snowfall, unless something sticks before the 18th. Still Indian summer here until Wednesday then back to warm after that. The mountains don’t look much better.

^^^ good looking day cmsummit! I've seen some similar pics from up north, round cameron pass. north has been doing better so far
I'm hoping that the slow start is at least limiting our usual persistent weak layer. It'll always be there, but some years certainly worse than others. lets hope for a snow train piling things up in Dec
