Yep, light smoke 6am. I rode up Buttermilk and by 8 there was a fairly brisk east wind blowing everything down valley.

Just finished a tour de mansion in the west end and no smoke.

It varies depending on wind and the fire. 4th of July around 4 or 5 I couldn’t see across the street and it was raining ash. Today wasn’t terrible. You should be fine. It also didn’t really rain again today.

Thought we had a good shot at precip today but alas, looked like it went just east.
Yesterday sunset was pretty eerie. Pic doesn't do justice.

Looks promising, but shows 3% containment? Just saw a 9news copter vid where it shows everything burned up to houses, but maybe not burning any houses. Back burning maybe? Either way, helluva job by the fire teams.

3% with the hopes of 30% by the end of the weekend.

They back burned around the trailer park and saved it with only probably a few
    Minutes to spare.

Only 3 structures lost... the firemen and some other smaller private efforts saved a ton of structures

Just got an alert of smoke visible north of Wolcott above Eagle Springs GC. Lightning over idiots this time maybe? 2nd fire of the year in Wolcott if so.

We’ve had a few storms roll thru this afternoon with decent lightning, and now some legit rain here in Eagle. Can’t see smoke from here but hopefully it was doused by the rain.

    Just great:

    Sun 7/8/2018, 7:52 PM

    EC Alert Notification
Residents of Edwards, Avon, and Vail should anticipate a power loss in the near future due to a wildland fire in Wolcott. Take whatever precautions are necessary for a prolonged power outage. Do not call 911 for information.

Bucket drops and feet on the ground saved those lines and what would have been a big outage. Could see smoke from the house as this got going. Spotty showers for sure as Edwards, Avon didn’t get much if any rain.
