Leaves are holding strong this year, not like last when we got that mid September storm that fucked em up. Snow up high is already melting fast as well.

Up 42% from last year, or pre-COVID? Also, death-whores on the Sawtooth.

I came to this thread to see about snowmaking, but was treated to 3 pages of aspen pics. You a buncha peepers!

The dog walks have gravitated from grove to grove, such a pleasure. I'll try to remember to take a pic today.

Thanks for the link to the monarch article, so stoked to have a pass there this winter.

Here's my contribution - aren't these "hidden" aspen clusters cool?

    Yes!

Denver getting in on action now. Highly underrated colors in the older neighborhoods.

I'm feeling antsy. Digging through my closet, looking at gloves and mittens. Ready to ski.

Our snowguns are on the mountain and ready to go. Our snowmakers are on standby. If we get low temps, we’ll fire up the guns. We’ll keep you posted on any updates. Think snow!

Looks like cold coming next tuesday night.

See if it pans out but I've definitely started buying ski gear even though I'm highly still in bike mode.

Still in bike mode, but thinking about considering making time to get ready to mount some skis…

    Nice pic!

Yeah I guess dual season. I'm happy doing rock work/landscaping this time of year. Nice and cool in the mornings.

Feel like we’re addicted to pumpkin spice with all these leaf pics, but it’s the most vibrant I’ve probably ever seen or right up there anyway.

Yeah, this years leaf changing display has definitely been better than the last few, duration has been pretty solid too. Can’t wait till they’re all gone so we can finally get into the depths of true slow season.

I noticed more and more bare stands of aspens on today's run. Getting cold overnight.

Speaking of cold, this Faction premiere looks worthwhile for anyone in scummit: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/roots-d...eid=db7d62d589

Never really found a lot of motivation with the bike this summer so I’m ready for skiing.

Yeah - they *really* improved that climb... like 100-fold better.
