And the weather was very good today.

Bluebird, cold snow, and no one on the hill.

I don't know what is going on anymore. Headwall opens before International, the rocks I'm expecting to hit aren't there, lifts are closed (north face was hiking only today), black is white, cats and dogs are friends... Places that were kind of stashes are now trade routes because of the hiking thing. Seriously, I have no game anymore.

It was so fat on opening day I would have taken a first day skier down it. Like most of the north face it felt like a blue run. Now that it's skied out it's wicked fast. Fun but don't fall.

And Summit- that's exactly what I was going for.

anyone tour around Opa Hut? Have a chance to go next week. See some easy south facing slopes. Looks like some north facing off something next to Italian Mt. Don't usually ski south here cant imagine would be better there. Taylor Mt looks reasonable but have no idea if the top is blown clean. Long drive from here and would hate to leave or drive by better sking to visit a hut. Basically descent winter touring or don't bother till spring.

I skied from Hawk's nest to the bottom of disgusting trees today without hitting a single rock. Gonna go buy a lottery ticket.

I call shenanigans. No fucking way.

I’m pretty sure I’ve skied that and not hit snow on a single turn.

Only been in the spring. Great skiing then. I think you have a good handle on what's there. People are skiing bigger lines here, but Opa is in the lower snow zone that is a bit more sketch. Doubt Taylor is stripped. Not sure if that was at all helpful

Thanks that is what I was thinking. Things are set up really well here and skiing great. Not really feeling the need to commit 6 days right now to an opa hut trip.

Y’all ever thought that maybe the Tide Rolling is a result of the dry weather in CO? Like reverse the cause and effect? Chicken or the egg and all that. Example, it dumped the last few weeks, and Bama lost. Still gonna be dry and sunny for a while now. At least we have some base.

Gauthier at the Basin is skiing wonderfully.
