Still allowed per the order:
-Getting groceries, food (including takeout) or essential household items
-Getting medication or medical supplies
-Getting medical care
-Exercise (as long as social distancing is practiced)
Looks like some quality outdoor time is still on the plate.Old's Cool.

So you're saying I shouldn't drive from Denver to go skin up Keystone and shred the gnarz?

I loved Summit county’s request for non residents to not come to ski. How about you keep scummiters from going to Loveland pass and skiing into Clear Creek county first??

Got out in my county today which was overwhelmed with Estes and Larimer county skiers since RMNP was closed. No demands to bar out of county residents from me though. Thats for assholes.
Snow was soft in north facing but crusty a lot of other aspects
Guess thats the last for a spell

It's a good time to send beers via delivery to your friends who work in health care. Supports your local brewery, gig-economy workers, and health care workers all at once.

No, Denver, you cannot drive to the mountains to hike, ski or snowshoe during the stay-at-home order.
It’s a bit confusing, I know.
On one hand, when Mayor Michael Hancock issued a county-wide, stay-at-home order, outdoor exercise was listed as an essential activity. Not just essential, it was encouraged! And among the activities that were specifically championed was hiking.
But Denverites were left looking around and scratching their heads. There aren’t that many hiking trails in Denver proper — especially ones that aren’t busy. So surely that means we can pop in the car and drive over to an infrequently used trail in the mountains, right?
Unfortunately, no.
On the city and county’s FAQ page, they lay out the rules on traveling to hike — or backcountry ski, snowshoe or any other recreation activity:
CAN I STILL TRAVEL TO OTHER TOWNS IN COLORADO OR THE MOUNTAINS FOR RECREATION?
No. Denver issued the Stay at Home order in solidarity with our neighboring and mountain communities. Staying at home means staying where you are –not going to neighboring communities or the mountains for recreation where we could further spread COVID-19 and overwhelm limited healthcare systems.
You might be thinking, “Well hold on a second, Gov. Jared Polis said hiking was fine!” Unfortunately for Denver residents, the stricter restrictions are what apply, so in this particular case, the city and county order trumps the statewide order.
So there you have it, Denver. But don’t forget, you are able to exercise around your home — just remember to stay 6 feet away from others.

Weather...it is snowing pretty good. Got out and found crust, wind slabs, and some blower conditions. Hope it is better tomorrow. Exercising on snow is the best

Fucking pigs are having a hay-day with this. Their hearts are pumping and their tiny penises are twitching with the opportunity to hassle deviants and hard core criminals, you know skiers trying to get to the trails.

Vail pass closed. Apparently for similar reasons as Loveland ski area. As they whittle down access points, they are just funneling people to other trailheads that won't be able to handle the volume. I'm gonna try to hit some other more obscure skiing today. Nothing rad whatsoever, but at least fun and maybe soft. Yesterday was pretty crusty, skied lines that I look at from my house but had never skied.
There's really not much incentive to drive up from Denver right now. Conditions are dust on crust at best. Probably better off riding a bike or golfing on the Frange than driving to skiing.
