There are many valid reasons to hate Eldora. But it also has some goods.
"fuck off you asshat gaper shit for brains fucktard wanker." - Jesus Christ
"She was tossing her bean salad with the vigor of a Drunken Pop princess so I walked out of the corner and said.... "need a hand?"" - Odin
"everybody's got their hooks into you, fuck em....forge on motherfuckers, drag all those bitches across the goal line with you." - (not so) ill-advised strategy

    Exactly.

A friend talked me out of having my 4 year old take lessons there this year. I'm so thankful we did Abasin instead. I spent quite a bit of time on beginner lifts at Eldora with my boy this season, so we got to see a lot of interactions between instructors and beginner clients of all ages. The number of times I saw instructors looking bored, annoyed or frustrated by their clients was pretty shocking. We also skied together at Abasin, Keystone and Steamboat on similar lifts so I kept an eye on the instructors and saw nothing but positivity.

Eldora just knows how to do all the little things wrong. Like the time I got to the access road 15 minutes before lifts open on a pretty shitty day and was surprised to find traffic backed up a half mile before the lot. Why? Because they had tasked one 16 year old with directing car to the newly assigned HOV or normal lot. He was chatting pointlessly with the driver of every car for about 30 seconds, causing a 20-30 minute backup.

    That's the Eldora way.

    ^^^ the Eldora way ^^^

Then there was the time they pulled the blackout day schedule off the website a few weeks before the final blackout day. Ask me how I found out.

Their "explanation" when I called them was that they removed the information two weeks prior - the week they stopped selling season passes. I kid you not.

Apparently, if you have a limited pass, there's no need to know when you're blacked out until you get to the front of the line to have your pass scanned.

Copper was decent today. Fairly good snow and almost no people. Entire backside of the mountain closed though.

Breckenridge 2 inches from the "400 inch" season mark, either 2nd year in a row or 2 out of 3; not too shabby especially now that the masses have left.

Yeah, Loveland close to 400” too. Decent refresh today, not enough to hide the crust but fun anyway.

Abasin was pure white out vertigo skiing this morning. Buddy and I could not see shit. I ate shit straight lining through a flat and did not even see a wind drift knee high. Once able to see something the new snow was fantastic

How’s the Jane skiing right now? Trying to decide my Ikonic destination sat and sun. Still coverage enough to play? I assume yes.

With colder air, and the upper trough moving
into western Colorado, the mountains could see quite a lot of
snow with heavy snowfall rates Sunday evening and overnight, as
models are showing as much as 1.5 - 2 inches of liquid water over
the Front Range mountains over 24 hours ending Sunday night.
Moderate to heavy snow may impact travelers coming back from the
weekend. May need to issue a highlight or watch for this time
    frame soon.
I might make it on Sunday although I'd be more likely to enjoy the last day of the Park Side that the retardation the will be likely to exist at the Jane.

I think it'll only be retarded if they don't get Pano open. That seems to really draw the gape away from the Jane proper...

I'm referring more to the party in the mud, adult frat party, tutu and hawiian shirt, C Lot retardation. I'm glad we have moved away from the one final Spring Splash closing day. It used to be just a fun party but devolved into some type of white trash loser fest. It got so bad that most of the bars and restaurants into didn't even open.

I want nothing to do with cops patrolling the parking lots. Strange concept...I go to the ski area to ski. We'll see what happens.

breck doing its little train that could adds one more inch to 399, I woulda thought the breck snow totalers could come up with another inch of snow to trumpet it for last week of the regular season. probably wont make it before its unofficial closing day this sunday, definitely will given its joined the weekenders.
