5* day today in CB. Playing for keeps now that Phoenix is open, doubly so since there is a shit ton of snow and it didn't slide to the ground for once. I forgot how much I missed dead end and body bag. Front side opened today too. Fingers crossed on third bowl.

6-7" of fluff at WP. They fired up the cloud seeding last night, seems it gave a little bump. Fresh snow on Friday feeds the weekend frenzy.

The Breck lines shown on Epicliftlines stories are fucking hilarious. The free bus line is super long, basically around the whole parking lot, then the gondola line goes on forever and ever, wrapping around everything in that area, almost to main st.

I had no idea MLK crowds were a thing. President's day, sure, but not MLK.

In Breckenridge under optimal conditions where you don’t wait do you need to park, walk a few hundred yards to a shuttle, then get on a shuttle to the gondola, then get on the gondola, then walk several hundred yards to get on an actual lift that you take to begin skiing? How long does that take? Is it 50 minutes from the time you lock your car to being at the top of any run that you can actually ski assuming no lines?

I’d say 30 mins from car to top of a Peak 7 or 8 run on a weekday if you pay to park by the gondola. I haven’t skied there in a couple of years but it was cheap to park there then.

Hopefully Breck keeps the crowds there. That’s optimal for the rest of us!

in all honesty breck can suck major balls if you don't know what your doing and where you are going
today must have been soul crushing for people whose only dream was a few turns on churned up colorado pow pow under a blue bird sky relaxing and being happy
you can't avoid shit on a day like today
but on an average day it's pretty easy to avoid a mess, the only draw back is being baked and french frying when your suppose to pizza and finding yourself at the bottom of 7 or 8

50 minutes is my number from my door to the summit of 9
    15 mins walk to gondola
    gondola ride
    rocky mtn super chair
    t-bar
    imperial chair
5 min hike to the summit of 9

Yeah we have a townie fat bike at the shop I use sometimes. Although sometimes I don't use it since I'll ski 4'oclock back to town.

Looks like no traffic coming back so most are staying up. Vibes to those looking for a relaxing meal and/or drinks.

REDACTED delivered soft turns, big views and minuscule liftlines.
I think we're at that point where we can just copy & paste that until the spring.

Also skied at REDACTED today and I’m hoping that their success in delivering an actually quality product allows more ski resorts to give the mega passes the finger next year. Although I’ve got no idea what their financials are looking like

I waited 5 minutes for a lift a couple of times today. But for the love of god, could some of you front rangers practice riding a T bar before heading down here. You could shoot an entire Warren Miller comedy segment in 5 minutes today.

Well obviously CB just isn’t as cool as Breck. Small mountain, too steep, too rocky, small Main Street with only 1 tee shirt shop. Boooorrrrinnng!!!

I used to work the old platter storm king at copper and when I got past being overwhelmed by the shit show and learned to embrace the comedic value that lift provided working there on a saturday was my favorite. people have somehow gotten even dumber since then it seems.

Breck Tbar is the Jerry training ground. “You’re doing great man!”

Speaking of Breck, Broken Compass posted some great pics on IG of the Gondi shitshow today. Just the start of an Epic day.
