Pretty bummed I blitzed my legs the last 3 days and decided to take today off. Yesterday was surprisingly deep, I'm sure today is an absolute blast. Rain/sleet in Longmont, wtf?

As far as my commute, rain causes more carnage. I swear, it starts raining and people freak out behind the wheel.

Beaver Creek was definitely legit today... WAY more than the 3" they reported this morning. Easily 8-12" in the trees (more in Stone Creek) and in wind-loaded areas. It was still dumping when I left, too. Tomorrow morning could be pretty good.

Fuck. News is reporting nobody caught that they know of, and that the avy happened in a closed area. But Alpine Rescue Team is responding.
I have a lot of friends that duck into closed terrain on 1 with regularity, hoping for the best.

Word from a friend on the ground...
Slide was skier's right of A-Bowl, the part under the little cliff that's closed. Ran over the traverse to OTR, which was open. Buddy helped with a probe line. Nobody believed to be caught but Loveland called Alpine Rescue Team in to doublecheck the debris as a precaution.

They called several rescue teams, then said to stand down.
