Looks like a pretty good upslope storm Sunday-Monday. Eldora in the crosshairs.

I'm so glad we are into snowy weather, finally. It really feels like we've been snaked this winter, is that true? Anyway, this is my favorite time of year, not too cold with plenty of snow. Second season.

Figured it’d be a total dust on crust storm in CB but it skied really well off NFL. Turns off the peak, while nothing that gnarly, were full on milked face shot turns! I’m usually getting real eager to ride bikes by now but everything just got good.

Snowpack is fading fast below about 10,000'. The sun: can't live with it, can't live without it.

Hey... does anybody have an A-Basin pass number they'd be willing to shoot me so I can buy a couple "Friends and Family" tickets for my wife & I for this Thursday?

It's my 50th birfday (not that it really matters) and we're going to get out for our 3rd ski day this season.

    Fucking COVID.

I've got one as well if needed. Let me know. I'll be there Thursday as well as my kids competing in a freeski comp.

Anyone else going to be at the comp?

Yeah - 25th. Seems to be a pretty auspicious day to be born... my eldest kid informed me that was the date that Frodo destroyed The One Ring in Mt. Doom.

    He's such a fuckin' nerd.

ETA: Happy birfday a couple days early, hawkgt, you old codger!

PSA for highway 50 travellers between Gunnison and Montrose, starting 4/1. It's going to be kind of a pain in the ass for me for the next year and a half- no more Sneffles day missions, unless they're on the weekend.

Do you know for sure if it starts 4/1? Last I heard it wouldn't be till Mid-April as they wanted to wrap up some minor repairs on 92.

The Gunnison paper said "as soon as 4/1", so no, I don't know for sure.
