there is some dust in the air tonight. Dust was an issue in Utah yesterday, I saw some pics of some huge dust walls. Not sure we dodged the dust bullet just yet.

I'm leaving the state for a while. No doubt I'll be missing some good storms. Enjoy it!!
Unfortunately my travel plans were to drive over Wolf Creek Pass tomorrow enroute to Arizona, but now its looking like that may not be a great idea. Was thinking about detouring around to Cumbres Pass. Anyone driven this road? Will it be any better in tomorrow's storm?Skiing, whether you're in Wisconsin or the Alps, is a dumbass hick country sport that takes place in the middle of winter on a mountain at the end of a dirt road.

Looks like the dust did not miss us....
Sunlight had 5" overnight up top but below about 9000' was rain until around 5:00am. The dust must have been mixed with the snow early in the morning. Everything was white but as you drove the cat over the dust came to the surface. From the little quick hand pit I dug the snow was mixed in with about an inch of snow.

no snow overnight or this morning in Vail. A band was moving down 70 as I headed to work in Gypsum. Rain mixed with some fat snowflakes. Still really warm out, no freeze last night at the house.

oh its legit. the beav is definitely getting hit harder thus far though.
im interested to see what happens when the winds shift NW. i think it could be a situation where EV stays socked in for most/all of friday with supreme orographic dumpage.
