I'm pretty sure I'll be the only one.

From the top of the boot pack you can hike right along the ridge towards the y chutes or left towards tree chutes. It’s one my favorite spots at the basin, it’s rarely visited and feels like real honest to god ski mountaineering…in bounds at a ski area!
Thanks! I’ll have to check that out this year. How long is the full bootpack? Like 15 mins up?

It’s not even the best in the state. Maybe Summit County.

Yeah that’s about right to the top of the boot pack. Hiking around on the ridge itself and figuring out a place to drop in can eat up some additional time.

feel like the tree chutes hike is harder and longer than it looks. Y chute might be my favorite to ski as a fresh line because it stays better under the traverse for longer so it makes for a nice long run.

What cracks me up is the fact that the gondola doesn't even get you to skiing. Seriously, why? Why do people still do this shit?

You could walk/bus to the base of Peak 9/Beaver Run faster. That's actually been the smart move this season, per some buddies.

Plus ABasin has more challenging terrain than anything at Aspen/Snowmass.

Only a dude from Asspen would be insulted by someone being happy with their local mountain and feel the need to piss in their cheerios.

I flew back into DIA yesterday afternoon, and I've never seen so many people standing around baggage claim waiting for their skis.

Why don’t these people fucking go to Utah? Easier airport, easy ride, way less lines…

I know I know. No weed. Lacking in booze. But you have Polygamy Porter on tap everywhere.

    Seriously.

Sorry guys, didn’t mean to piss on your best resort.
I’ve skied Abay, way more than any of you have skied the RFV.

Sorry, nothing at Highlands or Snowmass touch the Upper East Wall and the Steep Gullies.

That said, I do love the mtns there.
