I could be wrong, but I don't think that's how guessing works.

I think I'll be a bit west of where you do the bulk of your work.

I'll also be living somewhere that should experience some interesting weather, since this is the era of WFW (work from wherever).
Sorry! Colorado is full, what's your second option? I hear nice things about Utah.

Yeah, I know, same as it was when I lived there for a couple years ~3 years ago. Apologies in advance. I promise I'll only be there for 3-5 years, that I won't "put down roots," that rarely drive I-70, and hardly ever east of Glenwood Springs. Anything else I need to atone for in advance? I don't have a dog or a Sprinter.

You gonna be *in* Glenwood? Or perhaps that mouth-breathing Mecca of Rifle?

^^^ or we’ll get 2 weeks of WROD before another stay at home. Today’s numbers for a Monday (usually lower) are horrifying.

Glenwood is a fine town once you get over the highway noise. Fun nurses there...

No, head up valley toward Carbondale and hang a right. I'm up that other valley a ways.

A 4Runner actually, but same effect. The Subie got traded in after the second set of head gaskets in it started to fail while I was interviewing for the last job I had in Colorado.

this seems to be more of a summit county thread imo, but good news must be spread:

To all the people that busted the closures on the West Side of Hwy 34 after the road opened yesterday afternoon: You are selfish assholes

To all the people that had access to the fire zone and posted pictures online of random peoples houses burned down: You are selfish assholes

I, along with 100 or so other local contractors, spend the last two days, winterizing homes in the evacuation area due to the fact the electricity and gas is shut off in many areas. The program has been suspended because of the behavior of some self important cunts. It is -15F at my house right now.

So yeah, that's now it went down. The entry to the burn free neighborhoods on the W side will most likely be delayed while this all gets figured out. I mean it doesn't make much sense to power up the grid when peoples well pumps are on. It will cause a crazy amount of damage.

If anyone has any questions about specific properties out Trail Creek on 41/412/413, message me, I may know.

The fire behavior was crazy. It makes no sense. The trees are all standing with there needles on and a house will be totally vanished. Next door, it will be as is nothing happened.
